It may be necessary to close some or all fields on game day, even when the weather is clear, if there has been excessive rain prior to Saturday. Playing on a waterlogged field can be a safety hazard as well as potentially ruining that field for the rest of the season.

The board will make a decision on field conditions by 7:15 AM on Saturdays. If you suspect games may be canceled, check the home page for the latest information or call the AYSO Hotline at 454-0621.

If a field is closed for Saturday games, all remaining games that day will be postponed. A separate decision will be made for Sunday games.

Games in progress when the weather turns foul will be postponed at the discretion of the referee. Fields MUST be cleared in the event of lightning in the area.

It is the responsibility of the coaches and their division commissioner to schedule makeup games in the event of a cancellation due to weather or field conditions. Coaches should discuss potential makeup dates and times, then contact the division commissioner. The commissioner is then responsible for insuring there are no conflicts, reserving the field, and contacting the referee coordinator to make sure someone is available to officiate.
