In AYSO, Positive Coaching is a core philosophy. We believe that kids make the best players when they receive positive encouragement and good mentoring. Every AYSO coach is a volunteer and a vital part of the AYSO community, teaching key components of the beautiful game of soccer and ensuring that every child gets to play.

Whether you're a first time coach & know nothing about soccer or you've got years of experience with the game -- AYSO 572 wants to support you in being the best Coach you can be for our players!  Below you will find links to access all of the tools & resources available.

Coaching The Basics:  First time coach?  Don't even know the game or its rules?  Or maybe it's been a while and you want to brush up?  Coaching the Basics provides invaluable information & resource links to help prepare you for the season

Additional Forms
Please print a few copies of each & keep in your coaches bag, in the event you need them during the season.

AYSO Player General Release Form:   This form MUST be filled out & signed by a Parent / Guardian if a player will be carpooling &/or leaving with someone other than a Parent or Legal Guardian.

Return to Play Release Form:   This form MUST be filled out & signed by both a Medical Doctor & a Parent / Guardian in order for a player to return after an injury, concussion, major medical condition.

Incident Report Form:  In the event a player is injured during practice / game / tournament, this form must be filled out asap by Coach and returned to the Regional Coordinator, Safety Director, or Tournament Director. 

Become a Coach

Have you thought about coaching but you are worried it is too hard? Don't know much about soccer? No experience? Not that much time?  

Good news - we can make it work!  We are an all volunteer organization and will work with your busy schedule, as well as provide age-specific training & resource. 

Coach Certification takes just a few steps and is well worth the commitment -- for you, your child & your players!
1. Sign into your SportsConnect account (that you registered your child through)
2. In Main Menu on left > Select "Volunteer"
3. Click the "Volunteer" button under your name (Parent)
4. Select "Head Coach" or "Assistant Coach" from the options shown > follow prompts to sign up & submit.   

Once submitted, a representative from AYSO Region 572 will be in contact with you about next steps.
